Welcome to Hoath House's FAQ section! We understand that planning an event or stay involves various details, and you might have questions along the way. Weddings & Events

All payments are split into three instalments (deposit 1, second instalment & final balance), this is made up of two 25% payments and a remaining balance which tends to include the additional accommodation required. The final balance must be settled 6 weeks before the hire date. All invoices will be sent out 2 weeks before due date.

Holiday Lets

All payments are split into two instalments (deposit & final balance), this is made up of a 40% deposit payment and a final balance balance. The final balance must be settled 6 weeks before the hire date. All invoices will be sent out 2 weeks before due date.


Our 15 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms are all located between the three main properties situated at Hoath House Estate. They are offered exclusively to you and your party.  A luxury bridal suite cottage is provided to wedding couples for free for the duration of the wedding booking. 

Cots and Z-beds are available and can be provided in most rooms.

For Holiday let bookings, our four properties can be rented individually between family and friends. Please click here to view our Holiday Lets booking page.

Wedding bookings are Friday to Monday and Tuesday to Thursday. Holiday Let Bookings can be arranged for any days but are applicable to a two night minimum stay.

Check in time: 3pm

Check out time: 10am 

The properties will either be unlocked ready for your arrival, or the key can be collected from the key safe situated outside of the property. All guests should make themselves at home.

Wedding Couples will be greeted by the venue manager. 

Please vacate the property by 10am on the day of your departure.

Please ensure that the house is left tidy and all dishes etc. have been washed up. The brushes, dustpans and hoover are stored in the cupboard in the boot room.

Please inform us of any breakages or damage to the property before you leave. We don’t charge for smaller items e.g., broken glasses or cups so its just so we know to replace them for the next guests to enjoy.

You will be notified of any unreported issues with regard to larger breakages or damages by 5pm on the day of your departure.

For a wedding breakfast like no other, invite up to 100 guests to feast in an enchanting 17 hundreds drawing room, under warm and intimate lighting. If you have more than 100 guests, we are able to offer our luxurious wedding marquee which is capable of seating up to 250 people at one time.

All weddings parties will receive exclusive use for the duration of their wedding day.

At Hoath House we have three separate licensed areas for ceremony use. We have our main ceremonial lawn suitable for a maximum of 250 people. We then have our main reception marquee and inside the main drawing room of Hoath House as wet weather contingencies.

Being in an area of outstanding natural beauty, noise pollution is something we care for. We have a general noise curfew at Hoath House estate of 10pm for loud noise, 6pm for sound tests related to events and 12am for wedding events.

For Marquee events we have state-of-the-art sound system which we require bands and DJ’s to use.

We recommend using your every day supermarket delivery services for ordering food in for a self catering experience. We have a local Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose .

Each property at Hoath House Estate is provided a BBQ. We do not supply coal or fire starters. Please leave these clean at the end of your stay. Please DO NOT use the BBQ on the grass – patio/path use only.

The gardens outside the main Hoath House driveway are communal. You are very welcome to wander around the gardens and grounds. Please respect ‘Private’ notices and avoid areas adjacent to Luna Domes. Please avoid trampling in the borders, which are filled with exquisite flowers for your pleasure.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please note that the Hoath House garden perimeter is not secure so please supervise your dogs and make sure that they are on leads when using the communal garden areas.


The pool is used by all our guests on a rota system. Please see the enclosed pool timetable for Hoath House times. Sometimes, guests arrange to swap slots with each other to accommodate their holiday plans e.g. out for the day. Please feel free to chat to other guests or contact us so we can liaise for you.

Wedding Parties receive full exclusivity of the swimming pool.

The house is fitted with very sensitive heat and smoke detectors.

Please make sure that the doors to the kitchen are shut when cooking.  

Please close bathroom doors when taking a bath or a shower. If you leave the door open – the steam will set them off!

In the event that the Fire Alarm should sound, please call:

07973842139 / 07980013185 / 07429 108747 to confirm whether it is necessary to vacate the building.

If no one answers, please vacate the property and assemble at the muster point (Marquee lawn) and await the Fire Brigade who will be called out automatically.

We allow candles in the main drawing room and in the marquee. However, these must be contained within a holder, lantern or hurricane glass. We do not allow candles elsewhere in the building, unless they are LED.

As we are surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve, sadly we cannot allow fireworks or Chinese Lanterns.
